The Business of the Year Award\, established in 1992\, honors an outstanding business and recognizes its merit and contributions to the local Business community. The New Business of the Year Award is the newest of the Sitka Chamber awards and was established in 2007 to honor an outstanding new business in Sitka\, and to recognize its merits and contributions to the local Business community.
