Following graduation\, she worked at various nonprofits and local businesses in Sitka and San Francisco\, before moving to Burundi as a Global Health Corps Fellow to work for the Clinton Health Access Initiative. At the end of her fellowship year\, she had fallen in love with East Africa\, and moved to Rwanda to work with One Acre Fund\, a fast growing social enterprise serving small-scale farmers. Five years later\, grateful for the experiences she had in Rwanda\, Chandler headed back to Alaska\, to take on her current position as the Sitka Community Catalyst with the Sustainable Southeast Partnership and the Sitka Conservation Society.\n\n\n\nPresentation\n\nLocal Wood: A Resource for Local Businesses\n\nWhen the Backdoor Caf  chose local red alder wood for their new benches they supported local businesses\, kept their money in the region\, showcased environmentally sustainable timber - and ended up with a beautiful final product.
