After the overview\, Paxton will lead a discussion among luncheon attendees. Following the discussion\, the recording will be forwarded to the Alaska Municipal League as part of the feedback from the Community of Sitka. He is a graduate of Sitka High School\, class of 1957 and the USMA in 1962 with a commission in infantry. Some notable career highlights include: 40 months in Vietnam\, six in Germany where he commanded a battalion and brigade\, and six in DC. Paxton was City of Sitka's Administrator for nine years where along with the assembly\, he led our response to the closure of pulp mill and eventually the transfer of the site to the city with no liability thanks to attorney T. Cole. He have served several years as the senior warden of St. Peters Episcopal Church and was on the board of trustees of Sheldon Jackson College when they closed. With the help of John Holst and other members they transferred the campus to the Sitka Fine Arts Camp and Sage Building to Sitka Sounds Science Center. He is a lifelong Sitkan and has been married to Deborah Dickinson for 53 years. He has three children\, Shellie Dunn\, Sydnie Wallisch\, and Matthew Paxton.\n\n \n\nMenu\n\nTaco Bar\, Salad Bar
