Will also provide updates on the new Sitka Coast Guard Cutter KUKUI (WLB 203).\n\n\n\nBio\n\nLT Hatland graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marine and Environmental Science.  Upon graduation\, she reported to CGC HAMILTON in San Diego\, CA as a Deck Watch Officer\, and after tour complete\, was assigned to CGC KUKUI in Honolulu\, HI as the Operations Officer.  Remaining in Hawaii for an additional four years\, LT Hatland was a Law Enforcement Duty Officer and patrol planner for D14 living marine resource patrols involving Coast Guard and Naval assets.  LT Hatland is currently serving as the executive officer onboard CGC KUKUI after transitioning from CGC MAPLE.\n\nWhile on HAMILTON\, LT Hatland participated in four patrols ranging from the first safety and security mission of a WHEC in the Arctic Ocean\, a patrol through the Panama Canal to Haiti in response to a devastating earthquake in 2010\, and two counter narcotic patrols off the western coasts of North and South America. \n\nDuring her tour aboard CGC KUKUI\, LT Hatland qualified as the ship's Navigator and was responsible for coordinating Aids to Navigation and Law Enforcement patrols.  During 2011's Operation KuruKuru\, KUKUI conducted a 54 day patrol\; hosting four nationalities of shipriders and engaged in international operations with French Polynesia\, Tonga\, and Tuvalu.  Marking an historical event\, KUKUI was the first U.S. vessel to visit and exercise a bi-lateral agreement with Tuvalu. \n\n \n\nAs the Operations Planner\, LT Hatland prepared cutters and naval ships for LE deployments in the 14th District's AOR.  She was a liaison between international affairs and the state department to enact nine bilateral shiprider agreements and synchronized U.S. LE efforts with international delegates to the Quadrilateral Defence Coordination Group for cooperation of theater security operations with regional partners and 15 pacific island countries.\n\n Onboard MAPLE/KUKUI\, LT Hatland oversees administration\, finances\, and personnel for a 50 member crew in southeast Alaska.  \n\n \n\nMenu\n\nBaked Penne Alfredo\, Asparagus\, Garlic Bread\, Salad Bar
