Invite a potential member and receive a special prize!\n\n\n\n \n\nBIO\n\nRachel Roy\n\n \n\nRachel's Tlingit name is Yak'wtsa  and is Kaagwaantaan\, Eagle/Bear. She is the grandchild of Louis Minard and daughter of Denise Roy. Rachel grew up in Sitka living a few years spent near family in Montana and North Dakota\, graduating from Pacific High School in 2000. Rachel earned an Associates of Arts from the University of Alaska Southeast in 2005 while working for Sitka Tribal Enterprises. She was a student at Sheldon Jackson College at the time of its closure and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a teach-out through the state in Fairbanks and graduated in 2007 as part of the last graduating class of Sheldon Jackson College. Rachel holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. While in Fairbanks she worked at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in the Administration and Information Technology as a project manager. \n\n \n\nRachel returned to Sitka in 2013 as the Economic Development Director for the Sitka Tribe of Alaska. Rachel Roy has served as the Executive Director of the Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce since October of 2015.  Rachel enjoys cooking\, going to the beach\, and spending time with her daughter Madison\,14 and her son Jacob who is 4.
