The project\, created by Helena Sardinha and Rafael Thomaseto\, has been under development for the past two years and tackles on themes of ancestral trauma\, womanhood\, commercial fishing\, family-driven business\, and gender identity.\n\n \n\nThe Sitka TV Show is written by Steven Morrison and it has been supported by the team at Sitka Chamber and Visit Sitka\, Patricia Buak and The Bayview Pub and Stacy Boles.\n\n \n\nLogline:\n\n"Set in the remote land of Sitka\, Alaska\, residents\, and foreigners\, of different backgrounds and histories\, lives have brought them here as they attempt to move on from their pasts and find healing"\n\n\n\nSteven Morrison's Biography: \n\nBorn in Santa Monica\, California\, he earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Santa Barbara\; where he was accepted into the Word Farm Writer's Workshop and won the Corwin Award for best screenplay. Following this\, he earned his Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from Chapman University and was honored as a Dodge Fellowship scholar. He is Co-Founder of Horsehead Cinema Production Company. Here\, he co-wrote and produced the independent feature\, A Sweetest Kiss\, distributed by House of Film\, and winner of best feature at Los Angeles Film Awards and Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards. He has been hired on assignment to write for OWN\, Lifetime\, Lewitt-Kirkham\, Sylvan Avenue\, Symphony Pictures\, and Driven Equation. For years Steven was a professor of screenwriting at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles and taught at Chapman University\, also creator of educational screenwriting videos for Sunshine Education Academy. Other professional experience includes Screenplay Judge at Hollyshorts Film Festival\, private screenplay/story consultant\, and as a Copywriter at PacSun.
