DESCRIPTION:Two winning entrepreneurs will receive an award package of up to $40\,000 in seed funding for consulting/technical assistance to develop their business concept\, along with support in finding investor funding. The competition aims to launch companies that will increase local employment\, have a positive social and economic impact on their communities\, promote sustainable use of local resources\, and increase entrepreneurial know-how and business leadership in Southeast Alaska.\n\n\n\nJuly 23\, 2013 a new business competition for Southeast Alaska was launched. The Haa Aan  Community Development Fund and  The Nature Conservancy are partnering to promote sustainable economic development in the region. This collaboration formed  Path to Prosperity (P2P) a competition that aims to promote entrepreneurship in Southeast. \n\n\n\n\n	\n		Business competition applications are due September 16\, 2013. From that pool of initial applications\, 12 semi-finalists will be selected to move forward to Round 2 to develop a business plan. All semi-finalists will be partnered with a mentor and will go through a weekend boot camp in Juneau.\n\n		\n			The two finalists will be awarded up to $40\,000 in consulting and technical services for one year.  Wouldn't it be great if one of the winners came from your community? Adding a new business to any community will benefit everyone.
