I will be talking about the new 5-year strategic plan for the center.\n\n\n\nSpeaker\n\nPeter Colson\, Executive Director\, Alaska Raptor Center\n\n\n\nBio\n\nPeter Colson\, the executive director at the Alaska Raptor Center\, filled the vacancy that was created by Debbie Reeder's departure last November after 13 years of service\, eight as director.\n\n\n\nPeter's work experience includes over 25 years of programming\, planning\, administration and marketing experience in the nonprofit\, education and local and state government sectors. Peter served as the founding director of the Interlochen College of Creative Arts at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan. Prior to his ARC appointment\, he was employed as the Director of the Parks\, Recreation and Forestry Department for the City of Brookings\, SD and sat on the executive board for the Brookings Convention & Visitors Bureau.  Peter lived and worked in Sitka for 11 years between 1992 and 2004. During that time\, he held several positions with the University of Alaska Southeast.  He is excited to return to Sitka in his new capacity and to familiar fly fishing waters around Southeast Alaska.
