He has previously contributed to Reason and Orion magazines and is the editor of "A Grammar of Central Alaskan Yupik."\n\n\n\nDescription of Presentation: \n\nA slide-talk about the connection between William Seward and Tsar Alexander II of Russia with regard to their roles in ending slavery in their respective countries\, with a special emphasis on the Tlingit leader Koh'klux and Alaska's first U.S. military commander\, Jefferson C.
