He plans to grow old here in Sitka and assisting this town in becoming the best it can be.  He believes that our young people need to be active in filling roles that will lay out the community's direction for the future.Eisenbeisz was an active duty Marine who served three tours in Iraq. Upon returning home\, he served on the Police and fire commission\, only resigning due to take a job as Jail Officer with the Sitka PD. Shortly after that\, he and his wife Ashley bought her family's business\, Russell's. He has served as a board member for the Gary Paxton Industrial Park. In 2014\, he was elected to the City Assembly\, where I currently sit as Vice Deputy Mayor\, and act as the Assembly liaison to the Hospital Board\, SEDA and the Gary Paxton Industrial Park Board of Directors. \n\n\n\nAs for the Chamber board of directors\, his main goal is to bring back a synergy with the business members and the chamber. This is to include businesses that may have left the chamber in recent years. He believes that membership need to be more active in the direction of our chamber\, and the chamber needs to be including the membership more in decision and direction. \n\n \n\nAlana Peterson:  Tlingit name is Gah Kith Tin\, from Diginaa Hit\, Luknahadi\, Raven\; granddaughter of Kin Toow\, Cecilia Kunz\; a child of the Wooshketaan\, Eagle moiety\, and daughter of Reginald Peterson Sr. and Gail Johansen Peterson. She grew up in Sitka\, graduating from Sitka High in 2004. Alana earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish at Charleston Southern University. After graduating from college she joined the Peace Corps where she served as a Small Business Development volunteer for two years on the southern coast of Peru. In 2013 she obtained her Master's degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. Alana returned to Alaska in 2011 working in various capacities on economic development in the region\, including in her current role as Program Director for Spruce Root\, Inc. and the Sustainable Southeast Partnership. Alana and her husband took over ownership of the Backdoor Cafe in 2014 and became members of the Sitka Chamber at that time. Alana enjoys raising her two daughters in Sitka\, spending time in the outdoors\, and working with other entrepreneurs around SE Alaska. \n\n\n\nJeff Prater: has served in healthcare for over 25 years with extensive experience in hospital and clinical settings. Currently\, he serves as the Hospital Administrator at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital. Prior to his current role he was the Hospital Administrator at Samuel Simmons Memorial Hospital in Barrow\, AK where he helped lead the opening of their new hospital and first Trauma Center above the Arctic Circle. Jeff started his career in healthcare while serving as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. As a Corpsman he held positions as an EMT\, Pre-Trauma Hospital Life Support Instructor\, and Physical Therapy Assistant. He was also named "Sailor of the Year" during his deployment during Desert Storm. Jeff received his Bachelors in Health Sciences from The Medical University of South Carolina and his Masters in Healthcare Administration from Montana State University ? Billings. He is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow with American College of Medical Practice Executives. He currently serves on the Alaska State Trauma System Review Committee appointed by the Commissioner of the Department of Health and Social Services. Jeff is married to Kama Blasing and they have 4 children and one grandson. Their daughter serves in the USMC\, son in the US Army\, son in USAF\, and daughter who is attending engineering school at Portland State University.\n\n\n\nMarkos Scheer: is of counsel with Williams Kastner and is a member of the firm's Business and Real Estate Transactions Practice Group. Mr. Scheer worked in the private sector in Alaska for 13 years before entering law school. In the 17 years practicing law\, Mr. Scheer has represented businesses of all types from Alaska\, Washington\, Oregon and California. His practice encompasses a broad range of general business and civil litigation matters\, including all types of business transactions\, contracts\, business formation and planning\, insurance\, premises liability\, risk evaluation and mitigation and the purchase and sale of goods and real estate. Mr. Scheer values a responsive and open relationship with clients and emphasizes collaboration to fashion comprehensive legal planning and remedies for businesses large and small. All with the goal of providing cost effective legal solutions to the issues businesses face every day. Mr. Scheer shares time in the Washington and Alaska offices. In addition to his general business practice\, Mr. Scheer has been involved in the Bering Sea\, North Pacific and Pacific seafood industry for nearly 30 years.
