He has almost thirty-five years in business development and consulting\, including more than thirteen years in executive level management.   Except for four years working for a private IT company in the Seattle area\, all his professional work has been with American Indian\, Alaska Native and Tribal organizations.\n\n \n\nLawrence was born and reared in Southwest Oklahoma and is a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.  He entered college with a major in Architecture and participated in collegiate wrestling at the University of Oklahoma.   He eventually got married and left college for a stint in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam Era.   After the military\, he used the G.I. Bill to acquire a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining the STA as the General Manager\, he owned his own consulting business   SpottedBird Development - with a focus on tribal economic development\, business development\, and federal contracting development.  Lawrence has lived in the Northwest for almost fifteen years and enjoys the cool\, rainy environment.
