DESCRIPTION:Weekly luncheons are held every Wednesday at noon. Enjoy great food\, dynamic speakers\, and exciting networking opportunities. Chamber luncheons are open to the public. For many years there have been efforts to re-develop a seaplane facility in the Sitka Harbor system. Kevin will outline the efforts to bring Sitka's seaplane access up to modern standards and why Sitka needs in water seaplane access. \n\n\n\nBiography\n\nKevin grew up here Sitka\, is a 1989 graduate of Sitka High and recently returned to Sitka after living in Seattle for many years. After several years flying commercially for Kenmore Air Express in Seattle\, Kevin flies mostly recreationally now. During his time back in Sitka Kevin has worked with Weiland Construction\, coached with the Baranof Barracudas Swim Club and is now a stay at home parent. Kevin serves as a Commissioner on the City of Sitka's Ports and Harbors Commission and is currently the acting Chair. As a participating member in founding the Southeast Alaska Aviation Association Kevin has worked to grow the organization as a member and now as President of the Board. His work with SEAKAA includes advocating for the seaplane facility\, coordinating production of 3 promotional videos and coordinating the formation of a flying club here in Sitka. Kevin's other aviation interests also include being a volunteer for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association's Airport Support Network and as a FAA FASTteam Representative. \n\nWhile not literally or figuratively in the skies around Sitka\, Kevin enjoys being out on the water fishing\, hunting and exploring with his family\, and being in the water swimming different parts of Sitka Sound. As an active member of the Baranof Barracudas Swim Club Kevin participates as a US Masters Swimmer and the Race Director of Change Your Latitude - 57  North Open Water Challenge\, the northernmost open ocean race in North America. \n\n\n\nMenu\n\nStuffed Mushrooms\, Rice\, Veggie\, Salad Bar
