Executive Director\, Tonia Rioux\, will recap the agency's marketing reach during calendar year 2013 and share marketing initiatives for 2014\, including agency goals and focus areas. \n\n\n\nBiography\n\nTonia Rioux is the Executive Director of the Sitka Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB)\, the official destination marketing organization for the City and Borough of Sitka. The SCVB's mission is "To promote Sitka as a year-round visitor destination and meeting site\, and to enhance the local economy". The agency fulfills its mission through a variety of mediums\, including printed ads\, online digital promotion\, trade shows\, convention and meeting assistance\, travel writer and media hosting\, cruise line relations\, local/regional/state/national partnerships\, member services\, and more. Tonia was previously employed for nine years in the Sitka Tribal Enterprises Department of the Sitka Tribe of Alaska\, where she served as Tourism Manager for five years.
