DESCRIPTION:Weekly luncheons are held every Wednesday at noon. Enjoy great food\, dynamic speakers\, and exciting networking opportunities. Chamber luncheons are open to the public. Chamber members receive special member-only pricing.\n\n\n\nExecutive Lunch Sponsor\n\nAurora Business Supplies\n\nUpgrade to the Executive Lunch and receive VIP treatment including cookies and special prize drawings.\n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\nPanel Moderator   Camielle Call\n\nA veteran law enforcement officer\, Camielle Call is an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) licensed in Alaska & Idaho.  She has administered and supervised multiple programs/organizations including community behavioral health clinics.  She moved to Alaska in 1999 to take a position as the Executive Director of Sitka Mental Health Clinic\, now known as Sitka Counseling and Prevention Services.  Camielle has been at UAS-Sitka since 2008 and is currently managing the Student Success Center.\n\n\n\nHIM (Health Information Management)   Bob Love\n\nBob Love has been an educator for 30 years in Oregon and Alaska.  He has served in multiple districts as a principal\, counselor\, teacher\, athletic director\, and coach. In Alaska\, Bob worked in the Craig School District for six years and at Mt. Edgecumbe High School for 15 years.  Retiring from the State of Alaska in 2000\, he began working at the Sitka Campus of UAS in 2006 as the Southeast Success Coordinator for the Recruitment & Retention of Alaska Natives in Nursing (RRANN) Program.  Currently Bob holds the position of UAS-Sitka Campus Outreach Health Care Coordinator.\nFisheries Technology   Reid Brewer \n\nReid Brewer is an Associate Professor with the University of Alaska Southeast and the Program Manager for the Fisheries Technology program.  In addition to teaching UAS Fish Tech classes\, Reid is an AMSEA marine safety drill instructor\, a PADI SCUBA instructor\, and is an active member in the NOAA Alaska Marine Mammal Health and Stranding network.  Reid and his wife Sarah and two year old son Finnegan moved to Sitka in September 2013 after 10 years of work with the UAF Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program in Dutch Harbor.\nLaw Enforcement   Sheldon Schmitt\n\nSheldon Schmitt is the Chief of Police in Sitka\, and has approximately 18 years of police experience in Alaska\, much of it in the bush.  Schmitt graduated with honors from Minnesota State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice\, and later received his Masters of Justice Administration from the University of Alaska.  He also completed the FBI National Academy at Quantico. \n\n\n\nPresentation\n\nUAS Sitka's Major Programmatic Initiatives\n\nDistance Learning for the 21st Century\n\nWill these asynchronous learning initiatives lead to the demise of the physical campus?
