In this capacity\, he represents the Chamber throughout the states of Alaska\, Idaho\, Montana\, Oregon\, Washington\, and Wyoming.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining the Chamber\, Chris served as Education Counsel on the Senate Committee on Health\, Education\, Labor\, and Pensions (HELP)\, where he advised Ranking Member Mike Enzi (R-WY) on post-secondary education and national service issues. With nearly 15 years of legislative experience\, he has also worked as a legislative assistant handling health care\, education\, Social Security\, and telecommunication issues for Sens. Frank Murkowski (R-AK) and Conrad Burns (R-MT)\, as well as for Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX).\n\n\n\nIn his new role\, Eyler is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with lawmakers and their staffs\, creating and cultivating relationships with local and state chambers\, and activating U.S. Chamber members on key policy issues. He also develops grassroots legislative strategies and identifies emerging issues in the region to enhance the legislative agendas of and provide services to Chamber members.\n\n\n\nThe U.S. Chamber of Commerce\, headquartered in Washington\, D.C.\, is the world's largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes\, sectors\, and regions\, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
