DESCRIPTION:This week's presentation:\n\nJoin the team from Visit Sitka\, Sitka's Destination Marketing Organization (DMO)\, for an update on the latest news on Sitka's tourism industry.  Learn about Visit Sitka marketing programs\, opportunities for your business to share your story with potential visitors and some 2020 forecast information.  \n\n \n\nSpeaker\n\nLaurie Booyse - Director of Visit Sitka Laurie is originally from Massachusetts\, and had been living in New York City\, when she needed a change of scenery for one summer.  One summer has turned into 20 years in Alaska.  Laurie has lived in Juneau\, Ketchikan\, Soldotna and Anchorage. Her Alaska jobs have included working for Allen Marine Tours (where she helped launch the Ketchikan division)\, Kenai Visitor Center\, Major Marine Tours and most recently six years at the Alaska Travel Industry Association.  Laurie is excited to be back in Southeast Alaska and is very happy she found a quiet home "way out the road" at Granite Creek.  \n\n\n\nWeekly luncheons are held on Wednesday at noon. Enjoy great food\, dynamic speakers\, and exciting networking opportunities. Chamber luncheons are open to the public.
