Chamber Luncheon: 7 Health Initiatives in Sitka, Doug Osborne
Sitka Community Hospital's Director of Health Promotion, Doug Osborne, MA will present 4 Health Summit goals, the 2 pronged 2015 safe streets project and a new, unique leadership development opportunity in Sitka will be the topic of this week’s Chamber Lunch. Door prizes and relevant life enhancing information will be provided.
Bio: Doug Osborne was born in Chicago and lived with his brother, sister and parents in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Texas and Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1995 and then came to Ketchikan Alaska in 1996 to work as a VISTA volunteer. From there he spent a year in Kanayama Japan (Ketchikan’s sister city) and then headed to Anchorage, with his lovely wife Jami, where they both attend grad. School at Alaska Pacific University. From 2003 – 2014 Doug worked at SEARHC and now he is now the Director of Health Promotion at the Sitka Community Hospital. In 2015 he did 14 (consecutive) push-ups followed by approximately 22 crunches. He enjoys strolls through Totem Park spending time with friends and family and napping.
