2024-2025 Silver Saver Discount Cards will be in stores on Tuesday, April 1st, and can be purchased for just $20 at any participating store. The Sitka Chamber office does not sell Silver Saver cards.

Silver Saver Program Participation Details

Participating in the Sitka Silver Saver program through listing a discount is a benefit available to Chamber
members, helping to increase visibility and draw more customers through the door. Beyond attracting new
business, participating helps residents support local businesses throughout the year.

DISTRIBUTION
An average of 600 Sitka Silver Saver Discount Cards are sold each year across participating businesses. The Sitka Chamber also makes an annual donation of Sitka Silver Saver cards to the Coast Guard for families moving to Sitka, to welcome them to our community and show them the value of shopping local. 

ADVERTISING
Businesses participating in the Silver Saver program enjoy extensive promotion. Silver Savers and their participating businesses are recognized at Sitka Chamber events including the bi-monthly Speaker Series, featured regularly on the Chamber’s social media, and spotlighted on a rotating basis in the Silver Saver Highlight section of our e-newsletter, which reaches 500 subscribers weekly.

PARTICIPATION
Silver Saver cards are valid for one year, from April 1st, 2025, to March 31st, 2026. To participate, businesses make an initial investment of $300. In return, each business receives 15 cards to sell in-store at $20 each, earning back the $300 investment. Once the initial 15 cards are sold, businesses can buy additional packs of 5 or 20 cards at a 25% discount and sell them for $20 each. Each additional card sold after the first 15 generates a $5 profit for the business.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What kind of discount should I offer? To make the most of the program, businesses should offer a simple
and enticing discount—such as 10% off storewide (excluding sale items) or 15% off on weekends. The easier the discount is to use, the more customers it will attract.

Where can customers buy the cards? Silver Saver cards can only be purchased at participating stores. The Chamber does not sell cards. 100% of customers seeking cards are referred to you, our advertisers!

What if I can’t sell all my cards? While most participating businesses are quick to sell out of their initial 15
cards, if you happen to have extras, they make great gifts for loyal customers or can be used as prizes for a
fun store drawing.

To advertise on the Sitka Silver Saver card, payment in full for the $300 investment, and a current Chamber Membership are required.
