Richard Riggs is a lifelong Alaskan with 4 generations in his family that have called Sitka home. He grew up in Sitka and subsequently obtained a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Prior to returning to Sitka in 2001, Richard and his family (wife Nicole, and children Lindsey, Sidney and Cole) resided in Soldotna, Alaska.
Richard has a diverse professional and business background. He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Alaska, working in this capacity in the both the private and public sectors and designing and managing projects throughout the State of Alaska. Since 2007 and the Company?s inception, Richard has been the CEO of Silver Bay Seafoods - a predominantly Alaska fishermen owned company that has demonstrated substantial growth, with facilities in Sitka, Craig and Valdez Alaska, with the corporate offices being located in Sitka, Alaska.
