Rodger Brooks Community Assessment and Workshop
We are excited to announce that Roger Brooks, President & CEO of Destination Development Association (DDA) will be in Sitka in August.
Visit Sitka has engaged Mr. Brooks to perform a destination assessment of Sitka. Destination Assessment is a fresh, objective viewpoint - a photographic review of our community through the eyes of a first-time visitor. The Assessment's entire focus is "What else can we do to make our community even better?"
Mr. Brooks will spend 5 days in Sitka, exploring and experiencing the town. On Friday, August 12 he will conclude his visit with a Findings & Suggestions Workshop, which often includes between 40 and 80 suggestions: Things Sitka can implement today, to make a big difference tomorrow, improving the community's quality of life, economic vitality and visitor spending.
This free workshop open to the public and will be on Friday, August 12th from 9:30am - 12:00pm at the Odess Theater on the Sitka Fine Arts Campus.
